When I was first introduced to this band by my Dad I was too young to fully appreciate music. I always liked The Cranberries, I think I found some of their songs catchy. Now, probably about 10 years later, I ask about them to my Dad. He puts on a DVD of all of their videos he has, and I am completely blown away. Just the sheer rawness of songs like "Zombie" and the beauty in Dolores O'Riordan's voice, it's absolutely mind-blowing. So I automatically asked to borrow all of the CDs he had by them, which was pretty much all of them, except for their first EP. So I'm working my way through them. I've only come to fully love the singles I already knew at the moment, but hopefully with a few listens, I can tap into the exceptionality in full scale. I can't wait. Plus, they have some beautiful videos (for the songs "Ode To My Family" and again, "Zombie"), and I find Dolores strangely attractive in the 'No Need To Argue' era / when she has short blonde hair. She makes Irish accents sexy. I'm also really proud of myself that I've managed to love some music that is slightly old (the 90s). I'm not sure I like the new stuff though, it seems too... happy. We'll see.The Cranberries - Zombie (Video)
The Cranberries - Ode To My Family (Video)
